1. The Service
Website Verdict provides SEO and AI-discoverability scanning, analysis, and growth tools. We may update, add, or remove features at any time. We may also impose usage limits or gate certain features behind specific subscription plans.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or yearly basis through our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with reasonable notice.
4. How the scanner works, and acceptable use
Website Verdict retrieves and analyses publicly available pages — the same pages your browser or a search engine crawler can reach without credentials. It does not attempt to bypass authentication, paywalls, or access controls, and it does not retrieve pages that are not publicly served.
Analysing a publicly available page you do not own — a competitor, a prospect, a client site — is an ordinary and expected use of the Service. No permission from the site owner is required for it, and we do not ask you to obtain any.
You agree not to use the Service to:
- overload, disrupt, or degrade any website, including by repeatedly scanning the same target or by scanning in volumes beyond your plan limits;
- probe for vulnerabilities, attempt unauthorised access, or circumvent authentication, rate limits, or access controls on any site;
- create spam, link schemes, or content that violates search engine guidelines;
- send unlawful, deceptive, or unsolicited communications;
- infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- reverse engineer, resell, or abuse the Service or its underlying providers; or
- violate any applicable law or regulation.
We apply per-account and per-target rate limits to protect the sites we retrieve. We may decline, delay, or block scans that appear designed to burden a target rather than evaluate it, and we may suspend accounts that do so repeatedly.
Our crawler identifies itself with a descriptive user agent so that any site owner reviewing their logs can see what the traffic is and where it came from.
You are solely responsible for ensuring any outreach you send complies with anti-spam and data protection laws applicable to you and your recipients.
5. White-label and client reports
If you use white-label features to brand reports for clients, you are responsible for the accuracy of any claims you present and for your relationship with those clients. You may not represent automated estimates as guaranteed outcomes.
6. Reports and sharing
Reports you generate are stored against your account. Where you choose to create a share link for a report, that link is unlisted: anyone holding the link can open it, and we exclude those pages from search engine indexing. Treat a share link as you would any unlisted URL and only send it to people you intend to see the report.
Every report is an automated estimate generated at a point in time, not a professional audit, certification, or statement of fact about any business. Scores reflect what our checks observed on the pages retrieved on that date and may be incomplete or wrong. This is stated on the report itself as well as here, because the report is what gets shared.
If a report concerns a website you operate and you would like it removed, contact us and we will remove it. We do not publish directories, rankings, or search-indexed pages about websites we have scanned.
7. No warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. See our Disclaimer regarding results and third-party data.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Website Verdict's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or third parties. You may stop using the Service at any time.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
